About CVA Wolf Rifle
The WOLF is our most affordable break-action muzzleloader, but it's still packed with features that only CVA can offer at its price and this year it's available with a Nitride treated stainless steel barrel. The 100% ambidextrous stock are Realtree Xtra Green. The WOLF also features CVA's QRBP (Quick-Release Breech Plug) - the only truly tool-free removal breech plug on the market today. Even after 20 or more shots, the QRBP comes out with just a twist of the fingers - try that with any other "speed breech" system. Plus, the break-action breech opens easily with just a touch of the breeching button, which is located in the front of the trigger guard. The WOLF's compact and quick-pointing barrel is made of Nitrided 416 stainless steel and is set up with a DuraSight DEAD-ON 1-piece scope mount. great gun for the money!
I had a CVA Optima pro and like this gun much better! Shot this gun right out of the box and was dead one, four inches low. Dialed it up and was spot on and ready for the hunt! Easy to load, clean and shoot!

Good gun for the money
This is a good gun for the money. FYI - the gun/scope combo is not bore-sighted in the least before leaving the factory. Mine couldn't hit paper at 25yds. I pulled breech plug and bore sighted it on the bench and the scope was 3' high and 3'

Great "bang" for the buck
So far so good on initial impressions and sighting it in. Konas scope will do for now but it will be replaced probably next season. Hornaday 245 grain and 2-3 pyrodex pellets work fantastic. Say 2-3 because I tried both loads working the rifle in. I reall

Rear Sight Issue
I live in Colorado where it is not legal to hunt with a muzzle loader with a scope so I was specifically looking for a gun with good open sights The first time I took it out to shoot I was on the paper at 40 yards but high. Since I was looking to sight in

Worked well for a while
I am sending it back to CVA due to the BreechingLever not locking in place with the breechplug in. Thus not allowing the hammer to be engaged. Finally not allowing the gun to fire. I have shot it about 50 times. Now it doesnt work.

Very easy to use. Extremely accurate using 100 grains of Pyrodex and 240 grain Hornady sabots. Shoots bullseyes at 100 yards. Perfect size for women and children
