The rich walnut stock is esthetically attractive and exclusively designed with minimal drop for improved sight picture, and comes with handsome, comfortable black pad to lessen recoil. The rifle comes with high visibility optic sights as standard equipment for enhanced viewing. The Flintlock barrel and all metal parts are specifically blackened to avoid glare. All Lyman locks employ a rugged, reliable coil mainspring. The rifle's 24" blued barrel with 1:48" twist is ideal for roundball or maxi hunting bullets. I own a Lyman Deerstalker in .54 caliber. Accuracy is good at 75m with both patched .530 ball and the Lyman 450gr plains bullet as well as the Lyman 425 gr Mini ball. Groups under 70mm are possible at this range.

Old school shooting with the accuracy of the newer type of rifle. I have the lyman peep sight and it is highly accurate at 100 yards with either the round ball or the Minnie ball. This will bring home the bacon.
