The .45-caliber Philadelphia Derringer is a true icon in classic gun history for its small dimensions and role in self-defense. A similar pistol was found in one of Ford Theatre’s boxes in Washington where President Abraham Lincoln was fatally injured by John Wilkes Booth. This reproduction has brass furniture and a case-hardened lock. The barrel has a brass V aiming rear sight and a blade front sight. The lacquered, one-piece walnut grip has crossed checkered details.

after range follow up
after using this gun at the range , i found it easy to load and fire. i found 15grains of FFFG with a.440 ball with patch and a #10 cap to be what was required for this pistol. i did amp it up to 25 grains but for shooting targets 15 grains was sufficient

Nice show piece
I bought the gun on sale and still felt it to be overpriced but looking past the cost to value ratio. It is a beautiful gun fit and finish well the mechanics function as they should and I am excited to bring it to the range. My only true complaint is that

Returned Derringer
I bought this mainly for the historical meaning (gun that assassinated Lincoln). The workmanship was just fair but the hammer action was stiff and very difficult to pull back.

This Derringer was not a very good quality. the bore looked like it was drilled freehand in a vise. Was not concentric, and had minimal wall thickness on the crooked hole.Was repackaged and returned within 2 minutes.
