About Pickert Friedrich Arminius Model 3
The Arminius Model 3 is a five-shot hammerless revolver with a folding trigger and a 2" octagonal barrel in caliber 6.35 mm (.25 ACP). It was manufactured by Christian Friedrich Pickert or Deutsche Industries, Zella-Mehlis, Germany. Markings: Frame: ARMINIUS/DEUTSCHE - INDUSTRIE. (Right): Crown/N. GERMANY. The Arminius name was provided by a german hero of the first century AD; all guns having a warrior’s head embossed in the grip. The grip is hollow so extra rounds can be stored inside. Friedrich Picket, Zella St Blasi, and Zella-Mehlis in Thuringen, German. Founded in 1869, Pickert rose shortly after 1900 to become Germany's most prolific revolver maker, producing a wide range of comparatively inexpensive designs prior to 1939. Many of these were distinguished by the brand name Arminius, though Pickert also used an encircled 'FP' monogram. The business was owned between 1919 and 1930 by Wihelm Pickert.
