All porting jobs are not the same. I sent my 1st M&P 40 to Mag-na-port, yes firing does foul the inner slide & barrel, but not the sights. You can fire over 100 rounds and still have clean sights. I'm sure the excessive sight fouling is causing so

Ported to reduce recoil, then add extra holes in slide to lighten it which increases recoil ?. Ports are angled towards front sight. Plan on cleaning the sight about every 30 rounds. If you want it ported, send it to a company that knows what the're doing
