The newly designed frame of 90two pistol ensures trouble-free insertion and holster extraction, thanks to its rounded and truly snag-free surfaces. Inside the frame, near the disassembly lever, a metallic recoil buffer reduces the impact of the slide assembly against the frame during the shooting cycle. By redistributing the stresses, the recoil buffer increases the service life of the firearm. Trigger guard is also rounded to ensure, when firing with two hands, the correct positioning of the supporting hand.

Otis Smith New Model spur trigger revolver is break-top black powder revolver with 3 inch solid rib barrel with nickel finish and checkered hard rubber grips. It has automatic shell ejectors. In this revolver the barrel is so constructed that the arm cannot be opened or closed unless the hammer is at half-cock safety notch. This pistol today worths $400-$800. Otis Smith was gunmaker in Middlefield and later Rockfall, Connecticut who patented his revolver in 1873 and than manufactured them from 1873 to 1890. He was also making and selling his guns under the names of US or United States Armes or United States Armes Otis A. Smith Company. He was making solid frame spur trigger single action revolvers.
