The Power Drive Gas System is designed to perform under harsh hunting and shooting conditions with a wide array of loads. But reliability isnt the whole story. The Maxus delivers 18% less felt recoil for greater comfort, 44% less muzzle jump for more accurate follow-up shots, 19% faster bolt speed and 24% faster locktime than the nearest competitor. Pioneer Hammer Coach Gun
BOX LOCKS AND LOCKING MECHANISM PARTS are machined out of forgings or solid 4140 steel. ALL PARTS are heat-treated. Prefabricated parts are not used, every single part is 100 in house custom made. TRUE HAMMERS with REBOUNDING mechanism prevents from accidental firing when shooter’s finger will slip from hammer during the cocking. The hammer automatically rebounds to blocked position if not fully cocked. MANUAL SAFTY mechanism is located on the upper tang of the frame and must be manually moved to the desired position by the shooter. AUTOMATIC SEARS SAFETY mechanism prevents from accidental firing when action is not fully closed. It engages automatically when top lever is pushed to the right (open) position or when locking the action. In both operations, unlocking and locking the action, automatic safety blocks the sears disabling triggers movement. This safety future is not noticeable during shooting. THE ACTION EASY OPENING SYSTEM allows for effortless opening and closing of the action, while at the same time an authentic Greener Treble Wedge-Fast action creates extremely tight fit when action is closed. HAND CUT knurling on a Top lever and hammer spurs. OFFSET TOP LEVER for faster opening and easy aiming. WIDE TRIGGERS for speed and LARGE TRIGGER GUARD for fast, easy handling even when shooting in gloves. THICKER BARRELS rated for 00 Buck loads, slugs and steel shots. EVERY GUN is hand fitted and hand polished for perfect metal-to-metal and metal-to-wood fit and finish. Locking: Greener action – dual lugs with Greener’s cross-bolt.
