Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. The Masai Mara SP ( Special Purpose ) will chamber 2 3 - 3.5” 12ga shotgun ammunition using the patented “Inertia Plus” rotation bolt system that has become the cornerstone of the company’s rise to popularity. Masai Mara is a popular line of lightweight high-performance semi-automatic recoil drove shotguns based on the original design by Bruno Civolani. They feature the Retay Inertia Plus bolt system. Inertia Plus is the world's most advanced and refined kinetic energy driven rotating shotgun bolt design. The Retry Inertia Plus System is capable of effectively cycling lightweight and low recoil shotgun shell loads as well as heavy hunting loads and eliminates misfires by ensuring the system's rotating bolt locks into the battery with the chamber under all conditions, while at the same time preventing unintended disengagement. The 3.5” chambered version will be dubbed Masai Mara SP.
