Shotguns Descriptions
Browning Silver Hunter
The Browning(R) Silver Hunter(TM) Matte is a lightweight, fast handling semi-auto shotgun that's designed with upland bird hunting in mind; though its self-adjusting Active Valve gas system increases its versatility to include most any type of wing shooting or shooting sport. The Active Valve gas system vents excess gas out the top of the forearm, and away from the receiver for clean, reliable operation with 2-3/4" and 3" shells, without the need or adjustment. The Silver Hunter Matte model comes with a matte blued barrel, a 2-tone silver/black receiver, and a checkered Turkish walnut stock with a brown, ventilated recoil pad. The semi-humpback receiver design with a ventilated rib and brass front bead creates a sight picture that's quick to pick up and swing on moving targets. The barrel comes back bored and threaded for Browning's Invector-Plus choke tubes (includes IC, M, & F) to deliver consistently tight shot patterns. The low recoiling Browning Silver Hunter Matte Semi-Auto Shotgun allows for fast follow-up shots and all-day shooting comfort on the clays range or wing shooting.Lightweight and fast handling2-tone silver/black receiverBlued barrelTurkish walnut stockVentilated recoil padActive Valve gas systemCycles 2-3/4" and 3" shellsVent rib and brass front beadInvector-Plus choke tubesBack bored barrel
Riverside Single shot shotgun RSSS12GA30
Riverside Arms Co single barrel shotguns with exposed hammer were made with barrel lengths from 26 to 32 inches in Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts. The left side of the receiver is inscribed "RIVERSIDE ARMS CO. CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS, USA". Marked "Choke Bored" on top of the barrel. Riverside was a brand name used by the J. Stevens division of Savage Arms around 1940-1960. Riverside Arms Co was in business in the late 19th and early 20th century. This company was acquired by the Stevens division of Savage Arms sometime prior to World War II. The guns produced under the Riverside Arms Co. name were as functionally sound and capable as their more expensive, name-brand counterparts, but with less desirable wood, metal and finishes.
