Bushmaster Var24 ATACS
Features a fluted 24 inch chrome-moly steel extra-heavy varmint barrel (one inch diameter out to gas block) and eleven degree competition muzzle crown. Coated bore and chamber. One in nine inch twist free-floated with a vented aluminum fore-end. Two-stage competition trigger (3.5 pound takeup, 1 pound letoff). Ships with manual and 5 round magazine. Covered in A-TACS camouflage finish.

Hevi-Duty defense loads from Hevi-Shot use a 2.75 shell loaded with either 12 pellets of 00 buck or 30 pellets of #4 buckshot. The pellets are frangible, designed to break into powder when they strike a hard surface such as concrete or steel. When encountering flesh, the pellets stay together to provide adequate penetration. The low recoil is slightly more than a trap load but considerably less than a standard 12-gauge buckshot load. It is designed to have full stopping power, yet not to penetrate walls for safety in home defense situations. Buds Item #: 88659
