J. P. Sauer & Sohn 1919 (1st Variant)
The J.P.Sauer 38H (4th Wehrmachts-Variation) was made during WWII. Around 10,000 4th Wermacht variation pistols were made. They are easy to recognise because they don't have a manual safety. They have some unique characteristics like serial number: 6-digit number left on frame, 3-digit number inside slide, 3-digit number rear of breech block. Acceptance stamp: E/37 left on frame. Test proof stamp: E/N right on frame, E/N right on slide, E/N on barrel (near muzzle).
