The rifle shoots were accurately and the heavy barrel is great to shoot with. I read many reviews of this rifle and I have to agree that Savage could spend a little more effort on the stock with a heavier staining and sealing (the reason for the 4 bullets

My overall impression is a great buy for the money. Placed a leupold VX3 with one inch tube 6.5x20 with 40mm Obj.. The only mounts for the gun are weaver mounts but Work really well. The gun is really accurate, 0.5 MOA @ 100 yrd with Hornady 17gr ammo. Th

This small bore rifle is a great value!! High quality with very attractive wood grain too! Of course it is accurate. Will bust Tannerite at a little closer range than 300 ft. , but it is fun and easy to shoot. We put a $125 Bone Collector scope on it. Bud

Great Job Savage and Bud's.....awesome little rifle, the bolt is a little sticky at first, but works in quickly with a few cycles......matched to a DNZ scope mount, i'm getting .75 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards with CCI 20gr FMJ's.....i read the Savages
